Luana comes to AAI with previous experience in adoption. Early in her career, Luana worked as an Adoption and Foster Care Social Worker through a private adoption agency. Since that time, she has spent time doing mission work in a small village in the Alaskan bush; worked for a federally funded employment and training program as a career counselor; taught preschool in a classroom of 2 and 3 year olds; homeschooled her son during his middle school years; and acted as caregiver for her mother and others. Luana will tell you that she is very happy to be back serving adoptive families! In her spare time, Luana enjoys checking in on her previous caregiving clients; cooking for friends; scrapbooking; camping and spending time with her family and dear friends.
