Marissa earned her bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Albion College and began her career as a teacher. She went on to receive her Master’s degree in Counseling from Western Michigan University in 2018. Over the past seven years, Marissa has worked as both a school counselor and college counselor, where she has supported children, adolescents, and families through a variety of life transitions. Through her work, she has had the opportunity to work closely with adopted children and their families, which sparked a deeper passion for supporting the adoption community. Marissa is excited to bring her experience and compassion to Adoption Associates and is dedicated to building meaningful connections with the families she serves. In her free time, she enjoys playing tennis, pickleball and spending time with friends and family, especially her dog, Louie.
