Michelle Dykema

Executive Director

Michelle has worked in adoption since 2001, with experience including home study preparation, post adoption reporting, case management, and international program management. Michelle has a BSW from Calvin College and an MSW from Grand Valley State University. She has been the Executive Director since April of 2016. Michelle says, “The best part about this work is knowing that children are loved and cared for because of adoption. To be a small part of giving the permanency of family to a child is a real privilege.” Michelle has been personally touched by adoption in several ways. Among them– her mother was adopted as an infant, and Michelle has two brothers by adoption. She is also an adoptive mother herself. Michelle has been married to her husband Randy for 24 years and they have three children– two daughters and a son. In her free time, Michelle enjoys cooking and baking. She likes exercising, including running, yoga, walking her dog, and hiking in the woods. Michelle also likes reading non-fiction books. During the summer months she spends free time at her family’s cottage on a small lake in northwestern Michigan.
