NCFA (National Council For Adoption)

NCFA is presenting this webinar for prospective adoption families and adoption professionals on Thursday, April 1, 2021 at 2:00 pm Eastern Time.

Prospective parents currently serving in the military and considering adoption need information that is tailored to their circumstances and reflective of the procedural challenges that can occur for military families. Likewise, adoption professionals working with the military community need to be equipped with the right tools, information and strategies for supporting these military adoptive families. NCFA is partnering with agency member Kristine Altwies of “A Family Tree,” to provide this webinar geared for prospective adoptive parents, members of the military, and for adoption professionals. This training will focus on how the unique nature of military life can lead many to believe that adoption is not an option or a good fit for a military family. When in fact, it has been a very positive and successful way for many children to have permanent, loving homes.

This program is Approved by the National Association of Social Workers (Approval # 886393493-9389) for 1 continuing education contact hours.
